Nuremberg – NENNA.AI, the Berlin-based AI Privacy Platform, was awarded third place in the prestigious "ATHENE Digital Hub Cybersecurity Startup Awards" at Europe's largest cybersecurity trade fair, it-sa – Home of IT Security. This accolade positions NENNA.AI as one of the three leading cybersecurity startups in the German-speaking (DACH) region.
The high-profile jury, featuring experts from T-Security Connect, Kaspersky and Infinigate Germany, recognized the critical importance of AI security through their decision. The assessment highlights that the uncontrolled use of artificial intelligence, known as "shadow AI", represents a massive and often underestimated cybersecurity risk for businesses.
This is precisely where NENNA.AI comes in. Our AI Privacy Platform is designed to prevent data leaks and return full control over the use of AI applications to companies. "No leaks, no drama": we reduce liability risks for businesses whilst enabling all employees to leverage the benefits of cutting-edge AI models securely and in full compliance with data protection regulations.
Lars Moll, CEO of NENNA.AI, commented on the success:
"This award is fantastic validation for our team and our mission. It demonstrates that AI Privacy is a core component of cybersecurity for every modern business. We are proud to offer one of the most secure AI infrastructures in Europe, helping companies to balance innovation and data protection."

The prize, presented by the ATHENE Digital Hub Cybersecurity and the IT-Sicherheitscluster e. V., comes with a prize money of €2,500, sponsored by Infinigate Germany.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the jury, the organizers and all sponsors. We also congratulate our fellow finalists Infrafon (1st place) and ONEKEY (2nd place) on their well-deserved achievements.
